THE "DIGICEL CASH BONANZA” TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The “Digicel Cash Bonanza” Promotion (the “Promotion”) Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for a chance to win JA$100,000 cash weekly. You should read these Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.
“We” or “us” means Digicel (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, Jamaica. References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms include our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.
“I” or “You” means the person participating in this Promotion.
If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.
- What is the “Digicel Cash Bonanza” Promotion?
This Promotion provides an opportunity for our Prepaid customers to win JA$100,000 cash weekly once they perform a Qualifying Activity during the Promotional Period. There will be four (4) Prepaid winners. Each winner will be awarded JA$100,000 cash.
- What is the Promotional Period?
This Promotion is valid from January 15, 2024, at 12:00 AM EST through to February 9 2024, at 11:59 PM EST.
- Who is eligible to enter the Promotion?
In order to be eligible for this Promotion, you must perform one of the following Qualifying Activities during the Promotional Period (“Eligible Customer”):

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:
- Postpaid customers;
- Prepaid and Postpaid Corporate & Business account customers;
- Customers who have elected not to participate in any Digicel promotions;
- Employees/families of employees (Spouse and Children) of Digicel, employees of affiliated companies associated with this Promotion;
- Ambassadors of Digicel;
- Employees who have left Digicel within the three (3) month period preceding the commencement date of the Promotion and during the Promotional Period;
- Postpaid customers with an overdue amount;
- Directors of Digicel during the Promotional Period;
- Customers who have ported their number to another telecommunications network during the Promotional Period;
- Persons under the age of eighteen (18) years old;
- Customers who have won a grand prize in Digicel’s 40 Million in 40 Days Promotion;
- Customers who have won a daily or weekly prize in Digicel’s 4 Cars in 4 Weeks Promotion;
- Customers who have won a daily prize in Digicel’s 61 iPhones for 61 Years Promotion;
- Customers who have won a daily, weekly or grand prize in Light Up Yuh Home & Win Promotion; and
- Customers who have won a prize in Win VVIP Tickets to See Chris Brown & Friends Promotion.
- What are the eligible channels and plans (“Eligible Plans”) that will grant customers entry into this Promotion?

- Will the customer be notified when to enter the Promotion?
Public awareness for this Promotion will be in the form of a promotional flyer, social media posting at the following handles: @digiceljamaica on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) and Digicel Jamaica on Facebook, and direct SMS messages to the customers during the Promotional Period. The promotional details will also be uploaded to our website at https://www.digicelgroup.com/en.

- Is there a limit to the amount of times a customer can enter the Promotion?
No, customers may enter the Promotion multiple times during the Promotional Period.
- How many times can a customer enter and win?
Customers may only win once during the Promotional Period.

Customers will have up until 11:59 PM EST on the day preceding draw date in order to qualify. All draws will be conducted at Digicel’s Headquarters, 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston at 11:00 AM EST on the respective draw dates.
- How will the winners be selected?
Winners will be randomly selected from an electronic pool of Eligible Customers via Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform. On the draw dates, a total of fifty (50) numbers will be pulled and arranged in a top-bottom sequential order and the Digicel representative will attempt to make contact until a winner has been identified.
- How will winners be notified?
Three (3) calls will be made to the numbers selected by Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform in a top-bottom sequential order between 12: 00 PM EST and 2:00 PM EST on the draw dates. If there is no response to a number, the next number in-line will be contacted until a winner is successfully identified. All calls to customers will be made from 876-619-5000; this number is the only number that is authorized for the making of calls to winners for this Promotion. During the telephone contact of the selected winners, full details of the winning prize will be communicated along with the process for redeeming their prize.
- What will winners need in order to claim their prize?
In order to claim their prize, the winner will need to provide the below information to the email address provided by the Digicel representative who contacted them from 876-619-5000 within forty-eight (48) hours of initial contact by Digicel:
- Full Name
- Contact Number
- A clear head shot photo
- Valid Government-issued photo identification (Driver’s Licence, Passport, Voter’s ID)
- Commercial banking details for direct deposit, along with documentary proof of bank account (for example, bank statement or screenshot of the account details from an electronic platform clearly showing name on the account, branch location and complete account number). If the customer does not have a bank account, they may present a written letter of authorization, witnessed by a Justice of the Peace, for payment to be made to their authorized party. Please note that payments will not be made to a credit union account.
- Winning phone number (the number must be registered to the intended winner). If the number is unregistered the customer may proceed to register same within the timeframe specified above.
Special Needs Winners
If a selected winner has special needs and is unable to collect their prize and/or submit the relevant documents, that winner will be allowed to have a representative act on their behalf. Such representative must provide written consent from the winner selected, endorsed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government-issued photo identification for both the winner and their representative to claim the prize.
Forfeiture of Prizes
If a winner is unable to provide the above information and documents within the timeframe stipulated above, the prize will be forfeited. If a prize is forfeited, Digicel reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the mechanism specified herein, subject to consultation and approval from the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
Additional Considerations for Prize Redemption
a. Payment of the cash prize will be made via bank transfer within forty-five (45) days of the winner providing the information above.
b. Winners are required to sign a Redemption Form confirming receipt of their prize.
c. Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged unless otherwise approved by the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission.
d. Prizes are not exchangeable.
e. Save in the event of its gross negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors, or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.
Additional Terms and Conditions
A. This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use.
B. We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate (upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission) this offer if, in our opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.
C. The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.
D. If a prize is unavailable, we may, at our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification with the approval of the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission.
E. We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the MyDigicel App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
F. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion for the purposes of administration of the Promotion (including publishing your full name and country and/or disclosing it to third parties in accordance with applicable law) and any other purposes to which you have consented. If you refuse to do so, you forfeit your right to claim the prize if you are selected as the winner.
G. Winners agree to take part in any promotional, marketing, or publicity activities or events reasonably requested by Digicel, failing which the prize may be forfeited. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, image, or photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by Digicel’s or its agencies, without further compensation, throughout the world in perpetuity. If you refuse to do so, you forfeit your right to claim the prize if you are selected as the winner.
H. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our MyDigicel App (“the App”) Terms and Mobile Terms and Conditions of Use.
