Promotional Period: November 10 – December 26, 2023

 

  1. What is the “Christmas is a 10” Promotion?

This Promotion provides an opportunity for our Prepaid, Postpaid and Digicel+ (formerly Home and Entertainment) customers as well as our prepaid youth customers who are twenty-one (21) years old and younger (youth customers) to win various prizes once they perform a Qualifying Activity during the Promotional Period. There will be:

  • ten (10) weekly winners (for each week of the Promotion) for mobile (Prepaid and Postpaid);
  • ten (10) weekly winners for Digicel+;
  • and ten (10) grand prize winners for both mobile (Prepaid and Postpaid);
  • and ten (10) grand prize winners for Digicel+;
  • ten (10) weekly winners (for each week of the Promotion) for the youth customers; and
  • ten (10) grand prize winners for the youth customers.

 

  1. Who is eligible to enter the “Christmas is a 10” Promotion?

 

In order to be eligible for this Promotion, you must perform one of the following Qualifying Activities during the Promotional Period (“Eligible Customer”):

Prepaid Customers:

  • Activate or be on a 7 Day Plan or higher
  • Buy entries for $100 via 142 or *142#
    • Entry for Raffle (IVR),
    • 1, 2, 5 Entries for Raffle (USSD)
      • Multiple purchases in the same day, will give an entry per purchase.
    • Diaspora
      • Receive US$20 (J$3000) or more in value for diaspora top-ups through select vendors.
      • Be ‘active’ on an eligible prepaid Diaspora plan.

 

 

Postpaid customers:

  • Be ‘active’ on an eligible postpaid bundle.
  • Buy entries for $100 via 142 or *142#
    • 1 Entry for Raffle (IVR),
    • 1, 2, 5 Entries for Raffle (USSD)
  • Multiple purchases in the same day, will give an entry per purchase

 

Digicel+ Customers

  • Sign up for eligible plan(s) and services
  • Switch to Digicel+
  • Sign Up for SmartHome bundle
  • Sign up for a Home Fibre plan (Internet Only)
  • Sign up for a LTE Home plan
  • Pay Bill in full and on time

 

Youth Customers

  • Activate a 7 Day Youth Plan

  1. Which customers are excluded from this promotion?

The following customers are not eligible for the promotion:

  1. Prepaid and Postpaid Corporate & Business account customers;
  2. Customers who have elected not to participate in any Digicel promotions;
  3. Employees/families of employees (Spouse and Children) of Digicel, employees of affiliated companies associated with this Promotion;
  4. Ambassadors of Digicel;
  5. Employees who have left Digicel within the three (3) month period preceding the commencement date of the Promotion and during the Promotional Period;
  6. Postpaid customers with an overdue amount;
  7. Directors of Digicel during the Promotional Period;
  8. Customers who have ported their number to another telecommunications network during the Promotional Period;
  9. Grand prize winners of the following previous Digicel promotions: 40 Million in 40 Days, 61 iPhones for 61 Years, 4 Cars in 4 Weeks, 100 Tablets 100 Skoolaz and Light Up Yuh Home & Win; and
  10. Customers above the age of twenty-one (21) years old in relation to the prizes for youth customers.

 

 

  1. Which Prepaid Plans, Postpaid subscriptions and Digicel+ subscriptions will give an entry into the promotion?

  1. Is there a limit to the number of times a customer may enter the promotion?

No, customers may enter the promotion as many times as they wish. More entries will give them more chances to win.

 

  1. Can customers win more than once?

If a customer has won a weekly prize, they will not be included in the remaining draws.

 

The weekly prize draw will include all entries for qualifying actions completed between 12:00:00 AM Friday November 10, 2023 to 11:59:59PM Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

  1. How will customers be notified if they’ve won?

Three (3) calls will be made to the numbers selected. In respect of Digicel+ winners, calls will be made to the number associated with their account.

If there is no response to a number, the next number in-line will be contacted until a winner is successfully identified.  All calls to customers will be made from 876-619-5000; this number is the only number that is authorized for the making of calls to winners for this Promotion.

  1. How can customer redeem their prize?

Customers can redeem their prize by following the instructions of the Digicel representative who will contact them.

  1. 13. Who can customers contact if they have queries or complaints about the promotion?

  1. What will customers need to claim the Cash and Bonus prize awarded?

 

  1. Full Name
  2. Contact Number
  3. A clear head shot photo
  4. If over 18 years, valid Government-issued photo identification (Driver’s Licence, Passport, Voter’s ID)
  5. If under 18 years, Student ID and Birth Certificate
  6. Commercial banking details for direct deposit, if applicable. If the customer does not have a bank account, they may present a written letter of authorization for payment to be made to their authorized party. Please note that payments will not be made to a credit union account.
  7. Winning phone number and Digicel+ account number, as applicable (the number must be registered to the intended winner). If the number is unregistered the customer may proceed to register same within the timeframe specified above.

 

  1. Where can customers get promotional details?

Additional Considerations for Prize Redemption:

 

  • Non-cash prizes will be available for collection at Digicel’s Headquarters at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston within fourteen (14) days of the winner providing the information above. The winner may attend in person or send an authorized person to collect on their behalf. Such representative must provide written consent from the winner selected, endorsed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government-issued photo identification for both the winner and their representative.

 

  • Payment of the cash prize will be made via bank transfer within forty-five (45) days of the winner providing the information above.

 

  • Winners are required to sign a Redemption Form confirming receipt of their prize. If the winner is under the age of eighteen (18), the Redemption Form must be signed by the parent/guardian.

 

  • Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged unless otherwise approved by the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission.

 

  • Prizes are not exchangeable.

 

  • Save in the event of its gross negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors, or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.
