- What is Plan Gifting?
Plan Gifting allows Prepaid customers the opportunity to send Prime Bundles via the UMM and MDA to their friends and families.
- Will there be any benefit from gifting a plan?
Yes, customers who gift a plan will receive a 10% cashback bonus on plans gifted during February 1-14, 2024.
- Will customers be notified of their cashback after gifting a plan?
Yes, customers will receive the below notification once they’ve successfully gifted a plan:
“You have received 10% cash back on the plan you gifted. This bonus is for plan activations only & is valid for 7 days. Check bal at a.mydigicel.net or *120*39#.”
- In which DA will the Cashback Bonus be awarded?
Cashback bonus will be added to DA39.
- What can the bonus be used for?
The bonus cashback bonus can only be used activate the below plans:

- How long will the bonus (cashback) be valid?
Bonus will be valid for 7days.
- Can customers check their cash back bonus balance?
Yes, customers will be able to dial *120*39# to check their bonus balance.
- Can a customer’s cashback be validated in CAIN?
Yes, agents can view the cashback plan active on a customer’s account in CAIN.
- Can a customer get multiple cashbacks?
Yes, if the customer gifts multiple plans, the cashback bonus will be accumulated and validity extended to 7 days.
- How can customers gift a plan?
Customers will be able to gift a plan using the below methods:
- MDA (Select the Hamburger Menu -> Additional Services -> Plan Gifting)
- UMM (Other Services -> Gift a Plan) or dial the short code*147*03#
- Which plans can be gifted to Prepaid customers?

- How does the plan Gifting work?
Plan Gifting is a service which allows customers to gift a plan to different recipients.
The sender chooses the plan to be gifted to the beneficiary’s account. Once the option is selected, the recipient will be notified of the gift via SMS. The sender’s account will be charged once the plan has been successfully gifted.
Plan Activation SMS sent to recipient:
“You have been gifted a 1 Day Prime Brawta Bundle from 1876xxxxxxx. Plan expires on YYY/MM/DD. Go to a.mydigicel.net to check your balance.
- Will there be a Service Charge for gifting plans?
There is currently no service charge to gift a plan.
- When a plan is gifted, will it extend the customer’s Airtime?
Yes, once a customer gifts a plan, the recipient’s airtime will be extended based on the value of the plan added to the account. The Service Fee and Supervision Fee Period will only be extended if the plans received gives a longer Service Fee and Supervision Fee Period expiry date than what the customer has currently.
The below table illustrates the number of days the Service Fee and Supervision Fee Period should be extend by based on the value of the plan:

- Will Postpaid customers be able to gift a plan?
No, Postpaid to Prepaid plan gifting will not be available at this time.
- Will Prepaid customers be able to use their Digiloan to gift a plan?
No, plans can only be gifted from main balance.
- Will a gifted plan be renewed?
Plans gifted to customers, will auto renew at the renewal cost to the recipient, and customer will receive the auto renewal message advising of the renewal, similar to if they had activated the plan themselves.
- If a customer is already on a plan, can the customer be gifted another plan?
Yes, this will be treated as an early renewal or a transit to another plan.

- What is the Data Crush Offer?
Prepaid customers who activate a 7 Day Plus Prime Brawta plan or higher during the promotional period will receive 3GB of data to gift to their Data Crush (an active prepaid customer).
- How does the Data Crush work?
When customers activate any of the eligible plans in the below table, they will be advised of this offer via SMS:
Promotion activation SMS message: Congrats! You received 3GB to send to your DataCrush. Share with someone within 72hrs: dial*147*14#. Text *147*20# to opt-out of promo text.

- Customers are required to send the bonus data by dialing *147# or *147*14# within 72 hours of plan activation. Customers will only be able to send data via UMM.
- Once the customer has sent the 3GB Bonus data to a Digicel mobile prepaid number, an SMS will be sent to the recipient advising that they have been given 3GB bonus data.
SMS message to the recipient of the 3GB Bonus gift:
Congrats! You've received 3GB Bonus Data from <MSIDN> in Digicel's Data Crush promotion. Bonus will expire in 72 hours.
- Will the receiver have to claim the 3GB of data before it can be used?
No, the receiver of the 3GB Bonus data will not be required to claim their bonus before use.
- Where will the Bonus Data be placed when the customer activates an eligible Prime Plan?
The 3GB data to share to their data crush will be placed in DA 204.
- How long does the sender have to gift an eligible number to receive the 3GB Bonus?
The sender will have 72 hours after the plan activation to nominate the recipient of the 3GB gift.
- How long will the customer have to send the 3GB?
The sender will have 72 hours from plan activation to send the additional 3GB bonus gift.
- What will happen if the customer tries to nominate an in-eligible number?
The customer will receive a SMS advising that the transaction failed and the sender should try to send it to a local mobile Digicel number.
- What if a customer sends data to their data crush, but their number is inactive, what will happen?
The sender’s data crush will not be able to use the data while in the inactive state.
- Will customers get the 3GB to gift upon plan renewals as well?
Yes. Customers are eligible for the Data Crush offer if a new plan activation, early renewal, transit or auto renewal take place before the promotion ends at 11:59pm on February 14, 2024. However, transit or renewal of plans will not extend the bonus expiration date of DA204.
- Can the sender gift more than 3GB at the same time?
No. The sender will be required to enter the mobile prepaid number for each 3GB of bonus data that they are gifting.
- Can the recipient receive the 3GB bonus data multiple times from a sender?
Yes. The recipient is eligible to receive 3GB bonus data multiple times from one sender or different senders. Recipients must use the bonus received within 72hours.
- Can the sender split the 3GB bonus gift to send to multiple recipients?
No. The customer will only be allowed to send the full allotment to a single recipient. However, if the customer (sender) qualifies again for the promotion and receives another 3GB Bonus to gift, they can then nominate a new recipient to receive the new 3GB.
- What happens if the customer does not nominate a Digicel prepaid number in the time frame given?
The customer will lose the opportunity to nominate a number as their crush and the 3GB will be removed from the account.
- Which data DA will be charged first when browsing?
When browsing, the giftee will be charged from DA 133 then after it is exhausted, DA 150 will be charged.
- Will the customer receive an extension to use the data if another eligible plan is activated?
No. If a customer activates several eligible plans at separate times, they will receive 3GB with each plan, however the 72 hours period would not extend.
For example: If a customer activates an eligible Prime plan at 10:00am, they will have until 10:00am 72 hours after to use the 3GB. Activating another eligible plan at 3:00pm will not extend the 72hours to 3:00pm the next 3 days.
- Can customers check their Bonus Data balance?
Yes. Customers will be able to check their balance using the My Digicel App, *120^133#. However, note that the balance displayed will be a combination of the data balance in Dedicated Account (DA) 150 and the bonus data in DA 133.
